Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a 2002 C4S and I want to replace the rear struts.
Leading evidence: 'Replace rear struts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace rear struts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I couldn't find this in a thread so wanted to ask the experts. I have a 2002 C4S and I want to replace the rear struts. Overall it looks like a relatively easy job but I can't figure out how to remove the carpet on the rear parcel shelf to get to the 3 top strut mount bolts. I can flex the carpet a bit and see the nuts, but I am afraid that if I push the carpet higher that it will be damaged. The carpet is tucked in under both rear side panels and I was thinking that perhaps I need to take at least one of the panels off? If so, how do I do that.
Sorry, I am still confused. Do you just try to pull it forward, or bend it and pull it upwards? Anyone have any pictures on how to do this? My interior panels are covered with leather, so I don't want to damage that and I feel that I was coming close to making marks on the leather.
Just pull the whole piece out... #26 in this diagram

it's high density foam rubber covered with carpet.
You are overthinking this. Just pull it out. It bends.
Here are some photos of the spare one from my 02 (I put one with cutouts in to fit the roll bar).

I was curious about this also as Im about to start on the rear of my '99. These pictures help me visualize what to expect. The rest should be a cake walk... famous last words LOL
The rear carpet comes in two pieces. Start with the middle section which is right behind the rear seat backs. Then, pull the edges of the rear section and fold it towards the center. It's not bolted or screwed down. Be careful to not scratch your side panels. I've actually removed the center plastic panel (where you would access the rear wiper) and that made it easier to remove.
