At the same time we did the tranny we replaced the shifter with a B&M short throw but I am still having some issues.

I've been having a lot of transmission issues with my 99 996. I ultimately had my transmission rebuilt, which is a long horror story I'll spare you all but my syncro issues are solved and 2nd no longer pops out constantly. At the same time we did the tranny we replaced the shifter with a B&M short throw but I am still having some issues. Mostly finding 1st is really tricky since there is only a few light "bump" that you can feel that tells you you're about to go into reverse not 1st. Is this a cable adjustment? Downshifting from anything other then 2nd is really tricky as is getting from neutral to first at a stop light or something if you need to do it quickly. thx ...can not believe i used the word distinguished in a forum post. lol
