Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I put it into a 1/2 empty tank and filled the other half with 93 Octane Shell.
Leading evidence: 'Fill other half' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best chemicals out there' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean injectors and the other is a can' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I ran the car until empty (NO, I don't wait to refill at 1/4 tank), and refilled it with Shell 93 Octane

Suggestion
It usually comes in two parts; one that is attached to the fuel rail to clean the injectors and the other is a can that you dump into the fuel tank.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For those wondering, it's BG 44K fuel additive. It usually comes in two parts; one that is attached to the fuel rail to clean the injectors and the other is a can that you dump into the fuel tank. Usually sold as a service in the dealership, not normally sold over the counter. Good stuff. I've used it on and off over the years, mostly just the fuel tank additive. I've got a good friend that runs the service and parts departments of a local domestic dealership and he hooks me up when I need some.
So Ed, how much do you have?
You hook the can right up to the schroeder (sp?) valve on the fuel rail. The engine runs purely on the chemical in the can and once the engine dies out, you're done.
Stuff is great.
So I thought I'd give everyone a quick update on BG 44K.

I measured fuel economy on my regular commute (average using OBC) before and after:
BEFORE: 11.3 mpg
AFTER: 12.8 mpg
For all city stop/go driving I thought this was a noticeable improvement.
I am now a believer.
I have now put it into the BMW as well.
My Audi dealer sells it over the parts counter, and the local small import car parts place has it. It's good stuff. I like to run a can right before an oil change
You can get it at NAPA and several other places here in CO. My 02 4S has had a few cans. I can easily get 34mpg on the highway. And 22 around town. Now if I get foot heavy that is a different story.
