Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just picked up 2005 996 turbo S. suspension is dropped one inch. new pirelli p zeros. when it gets above 80 or so rear end feels wobbly (side to side) after rough road patch. i will be taking it to my mechanic but does anybody any suggestions. i don't mind a somewhat harsh ride but i would like to revamp the suspension to provide a more connected direct drive

POST 3Original post

Sounds like either wheel balance or loose rear eccentrics. They are notoriously difficult to tighten on the 996

POST 4Original post

Sounds like the rear toe is out. When dropped, sometime you can't get the toe in spec without adjustable rear toe links.(track bars) First I'd try wheel alignment and if they can't get it to spec, but the adjustable toe links. I have these: https://www.vividracing.com/torque-s...150724394.html
