Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just refinished my headlights and want to install protective film. Several folks on rennlist have recommended the Xpel brand but I cannot find a pre-cut kit. If this exists, can someone send a pointer? Alternatively, do any of you have positive experiences with the the lamin-x product or the kit from pelican parts?

POST 6Original post

$50 is a great deal especially done professionally. I bought my Xpel pre-cut kit from Pelican for around ~$67, i think for my 996.1 headlights and it took me some time to install them because of the air bubbles trapped under the film Took me a while to squeeze them out and it did take a few days to get rid of all the initial haze on the headlights Overall I'm happy w these films. Cheers,,

I used the Lamin-x version, and it worked like a charm. This is a photo 18 months after I sanded, polished and applied the Lamin-x:
