Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks for posting the part number, I need to replace one that was replaced with a larger screw by someone in the past.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone knows the part number of these 3 black screws? 2002 996 c2 [pic taken from Orient Express from renntech.org]

POST 4Original post

I pulled one out and went to the hardware store and got stainless steel metric screws that matched. IMHO a better solution for that part of the car. They are just screws.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Joe. RFM from renntech found it. It's 999 073 062 02

POST 6Original post

Ah, it's under the C4 bumper in the PET. Interesting to see where else it is used. Thanks for posting the part number, I need to replace one that was replaced with a larger screw by someone in the past. That and a speed nut on the heat protection.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Indeed. Part #19 here .

POST 8Original post

Actually, whilst we're in that area... Anyone know the part number for the screw that holds the heat shied to the reinforcement bar right above where the cats cross over? Listed as only requiring 2 of the the screws/bolts but there are 3 holes. Two hold on brackets and ive got an empty hole in the middle?

POST 10Original post

I thought it was 20 + 21 but I bought them and they were too small I was thinking #19 as well but it only lists the quantity as 2 rather than 3?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

20 is an m5 and 19 is an m6 so it's larger. Nothing listed as 3 around there.

POST 12Original post

Sorry meant Quantity required is 2 rather than size - the m5 was slightly too small so its probarbly an m6... Quantity says 2 but there are 3 holes, thoughts?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 15587884

Perhaps that hole is meant to be there w/o a bolt then?

POST 14Original post

Thanks Ahsai, the hole is definitely threaded, here is one I found on ebay (can't seem to upload pics at the moment): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Porsche-...4/173714891467

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The hole in the middle of the beam? Can't tell if there's a bolt there.

POST 16Original post

Yep that's the one in that pic, mine is missing that bolt but i'm not sure of the part number. A bolt is supposed to be there as its threaded

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Could be the m6 #19 then. You can just remove one of the bolts on its left or right and see if that bolt fits the hole.

POST 18Original post

Thanks i'd say its one of those as well - just confused why it says quantity 2 instead of 3 - I hate when that happens! haha
