Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the replies I will check this out in the next coupe of days this has been to a shop a couple of times and keeps coming back.

POST 5Original post

Interested to hear what you learned. I've been getting the same codes for several months now. Only when engine is warm after it sits at idle for at least 30 sec, like at a stop light. I can feeI it happen, momentary hesitation then idle is fine again. Fixed one small vacuum leak but it still occurs. The SAI pump does run for a little while upon cold start up. There is another thread on here about this that lists a long list of possible causes.

POST 6Original post

I had the same issue with mine, I started by checking all the vacuum line with a hand vacuum pump, got lucky and found my leaking line between the change over valve and vacuum reservoir. fix the line and no issue again. Good Luck

POST 7Original post

Found a vacuum line that was pulled out of a fitting, reconnected it and drove it yesterday without any CEL. It was the line that runs in front of the alternator between the changeover valve #1 and the one-way check valve Bought new hose and "y" and elbow fittings to replace with new. Hopefully no leaks further back and i can avoid pulling the alternator/throttle body. Sounds like a good preventative for a later day.

POST 8Original post

Picking up a car with same problem as we speak. Cracked Y-connector....

POST 9Original post

Parts from the dealer is reasonable and not a hard job, if it's in the front. Hopefully it will be the easy lines and not in back of the alternator.
