Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Adjust the camera down to the lowest ISO possible and run a slow shutter.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust camera down' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust camera down' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Note that if it is an APS-C camera (not full frame) a 30mm or 35mm fast lens is what you'll want to use (you can rent one...don't have to buy...something like a Sigma 30mm 1.4 ART Lens or their 35mm).

Most pros use a 50mm lens because it produces some of the best bokeh.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I drive the 996 and realize just how light, balanced and nimble this car is. So maybe Ill just drive the wheels off this car until it dies then call JR instead of trading up.
Thanks Lowpue. Sadly my house only came with a 1 car garage that houses the 996 and an Aprilia RSV4. The wife has been pretty cool re my toys, but two 911s aint likely gonna happen😁
Forgive me for noticing, photography is kind of a hobby of mine. The iPhone, like most smartphones, have a very small camera sensors (1/3 - 1/2" inch compared to 35mm) and in order for it to produce a super wide angle image, the manufacturers have to pull off some crazy optic magic. The flip side to a wide angle on a small sensor is barrel distortion. This causes objects to look fat due to geometric distortion. Small sensors in the iPhones are also void of shallow depth of field (i.e. bokeh) which directs the viewer to the intended object in the frame. One trick Apple uses to produce bokeh is by using two cameras - one to focus on the subject and the other to focus on the background. Once the secondary camera finds the background, it blurs it out to give the look of professional photography.
Now, if you want to mimic the beauty of the Singer photograph, get your hands on a modern 35mm Canon or Nikon camera and a super fast lens (f2.8 or less). Most pros use a 50mm lens because it produces some of the best bokeh. Adjust the camera down to the lowest ISO possible and run a slow shutter. You may need a remote to minimize camera movement that produces unwanted image blur. The right combination of ISO and shutter will produce an image that is natural without having to use artificial lighting. (if you notice in the Singer photo, there is no light flash reflecting on the car). The image may have also been doctored in Photoshop to make the colors punch too.
Anyway, good luck. You have a beautiful car and access to some on the best scenery. Recipe for success!
Thanks for taking time to type this up. I always figured that the physical size of the iPhone lens had limits that the brilliant folks at Apple worked to minimize, but this really adds detail that I was curious about.
There's a used minty 991.2 nearby that I am lusting after. The exact spec I would build from new including color, transmission etc. I look at the photos and want the car so bad until... I take a ride in my 996. As soon as I get into the drivers seat I'm reminded how much I love this car and in no way is it worth another 60k out of my pocket to upgrade. The 991 is obviously fantastic and the years of refinement reflect a more polished car. I ask myself all the time, is the 991 for an extra 60k worth that in guilt-free fun? For some maybe, for myself no way. I hope to keep this car for a very long time.
I had a 2015 991 carrera 7 spd manual with sport exhaust. It was clearly more refined, and more 'modern' (quicker, handled a % better - of course, Porsche just keeps improving the breed). But in no way do I regret trading/selling around to end up with what i now have: '04' speed yellow cab with supple leather, etc. The car just feels more 'intimate' to me than the 991, due to size, engine sounds, seats, everything. Contrary to the contrarian articles out there, i am convinced that the 996s will eventually follow the same general curve of price increase - though probably not with the same exponent! - as the air cooled predecessors (we shall see). They are extremely good cars with everything that makes Porsche a Porsche. And 996s will probably will end up a more sorted-out car due to the production #s, lovers of the model, and abundance of reasonable parts. For me i have to agree with you, based on being currently limited to a one-car spot in my garage. :-) But go drive it to be certain...
100%. Its just a matter of time. If the 912 and 914 are now considered desirable, theres no doubt the 996 will follow suit. Folks are prone to changing their minds. Eventually the stigma will wane, and theyll be clamoring to get their hands on the one with the GT1 headlights. What was once quirky and ridiculed becomes rare and sought after.

Something I noted when I owned one, and was out and about. The 996 seems to be a bit more intimate than the other newer P cars. The 996, with all its warts seems to engender a bit of pity-love? We can not only like it - we can appreciate the 996 more than a 997.2 or 991. There's little/no remaining 'status', or ju ne se qua, haughtiness about the model. We don't emote over it, we don't pity either. Just acceptance, like the favorite slippers, but with killer performance and good looks(taco - of course). While it may never have the collect-ability of any other 911 version, the 996 following will be strong, and virtuous. I miss mine, and will likely get another if I can find a bright color taco somewhere.
