Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just changing motor mounts and noticed the hose with no home. I dont see anything amiss so maybe its an overflow hose that should just point down? It is coming from the coolant expansion tank just above the driver side motor mount closest hose to the rear of the car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Having difficulty loading pics. Thanks! [img]blob:https://rennlist.com/29c9d217-4212-4f50-9c3c-742e39d8e259

POST 2Original post

It is indeed the coolant expansion tank overflow hose. It just kind of hangs down below the body work open ended, and usually is pointed right at the #1 cylinder coil pack. Make sure you have the latest expansion tank cap ending in 04 and you should be good to go.

POST 4Original post

Make sure it's routed on the outside of the small aluminum shield that protects the plugs and coils.
