Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced the sensors not realizing my error until now.
Leading evidence: 'Replace sensors not realizing my error until now' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check wiring and make sure they are hooked up correctly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Once the O2 sensors/wiring gets replaced they run fine for many more miles.

I would double check your wiring and make sure they are hooked up correctly.

I now have 4 upstream sensors (Bosch blue wire) and need to replace the lazy set.

Suggestion
Once the engine is fully warmed up, just use Durametric to read the O2 sensor voltage.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So every couple of weeks I've gotten CEL and did some poking around today. As noted previously I discovered the PO's mechanic may have put pre-cat sensors on the post cat (cars been running fine)
Now the kicker, I inadvertently hooked up my sensors backwards when I put the motor in, post to pre and pre to post...What an idiot I am!
Swapped them around and she fired right up and idles fine as usual.
Could any damage (rich/lean) have been caused in a 1000 miles?
Have a Durametric but have no idea what I'm looking at yet when it comes to voltage and values...What should I be looking for?
Once the engine is fully warmed up, just use Durametric to read the O2 sensor voltage. Two pre-cat and two post-cat. At idle (not revving it), the pre-cat voltage should swing between about 0.2v to 0.7v every few seconds. The post-cat voltage should stay at 0.7v or so steady.
I doubt you did any damage if the sensors were swapped. It would appear the sensors are nearly identical with the exception of the harness length. Are you sure they were reversed before? Both of those codes are slow response codes for bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1, so both upstream sensors. I could see that happening if the wiring is reversed between the upstream and downstream sensors, as the post cat sensors essentially read a lazier signal than an upstream sensor, provided the catalyst is operating properly. I would double check your wiring and make sure they are hooked up correctly.
Just to clarify as my wording may have been misleading. I thought the previous owner (as noted in a previous thread) had the sensors wrong but the mistake was on me. I had them hooked up wrong and now have them in the correct position. Previously I had an 02 code for the upstream sensor but the upstream sensor was hooked up to the downstream harness plug. I replaced the sensors not realizing my error until now.
I now have 4 upstream sensors (Bosch blue wire) and need to replace the lazy set.
If the trim levels were way off and you were running rich you may have damaged the cats.
Keep an eye on trim levels.
I see engines often that have been driven even more miles with bad O2 sensors that seem to suffer no obvious ill effects.
Once the O2 sensors/wiring gets replaced they run fine for many more miles.
Although I guess they may have shortened the life of the engine, but that's hard to determine without tearing it down, which won't happen with my client's cars.
They're pretty much disposable cars once they come to us for repair.
I had one recently that a faulty power steering rack "totaled" the car.

He ended up with a "new" car being donated to him instead.
