Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
GT3 gearsets are the same as the TT, but I think the GT2 uses slightly longer gearing.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

which model transmission does the 6 speed 2004 Carrera 4s have. It seems to have many of the turbo parts, and was wondering if it has the same transmission
A little more info taken from another forum:
Generally when folks talk about centre change cable boxes, they're talking about the 996/997 Porsche 'boxes (all 6-speed). In a nutshell..... G96/00, G95/01 & G97/01 came from Carrera 2 models and are generally regarded as weaker, shorter geared and harder to rebuild.
G96/30, G96/31 & G97/31 are Carrera 4 versions of the above. Same comments as above apply, I can't see why you'd consider one of these.
G96/50 & G97/50 are the twin turbo 4WD boxes. These are easily converted to 2WD and are long geared, strong and easy to maintain boxes. This is what I've gone for as for me it represented the best box for strength & gearing.
Then you have the GT2/GT3 boxes.... G96/80, G96/90 & G96/96. These command big money, from what I've seen 2x even upto 4x what a G96/50 costs. GT3 gearsets are the same as the TT, but I think the GT2 uses slightly longer gearing.
I'm gonna do it the easy way. I already plan to add a C2 to the garage (for the wife - or so she thinks ) in a few months. Then i will have the best of both worlds...... Then turbo time!
Thanks for the answers, It was just about how much torque could be put through the transmission. The rest of the car is pretty much the same as the turbo and I thought the trans was the same as the n/a car, just needed verification. Thank you again
