Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

We we have tried a new battery, check all the fuses and checked the power distribution block at the fire wall for continuity and all check out.
Leading evidence: 'Check power distribution block at the fire wall' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check 12v at the fuse block' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Then pull some fuses and check for 12V at the fuse block.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys, trying to solve an issue on a buddies 2001 turbo, the car had a dead battery, a float charger was placed for 3 months but is was still dead. Attempted boosting the car via another car and it would turn over slowly. Someone trying to help places a charger in a boost start mode on in conjunction with the cables already connected from the second vehicle.
at this point my buddy turned it over resulting in a rapid clicking followed by absolutely no power.
We we have tried a new battery, check all the fuses and checked the power distribution block at the fire wall for continuity and all check out.
But absolutely no power, no 4way flashers.... nothing.
He is concerned that the ECU is fried but we hoping there is a disable like somewhere that we have not found.
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated
thanks
Shalil
We did not check if there is 12v passing through but we did check that there is continuity across all the fuseable links, is it possible that there is a difference?
You have a new battery, so you have to start tracing from the battery. I assume you have a full 12V across the battery. Do you also have 12V at the jumper point in the engine bay? It should be exactly what you have at the battery terminals. Then pull some fuses and check for 12V at the fuse block. It is possible that you blew/fried a relay for the start/lock. Relay Support 2 is under the carpet behind the seats.
Goes something like this:
12V at battery...good
12V at jumper point in engine bay...good
12V at all power distribution points both sides of fusible links...good
12V at some of the fuses in the fuse box...good. If not, backtrack to the main power distribution box that protects the fuse box.
If these main circuit points do not have 12V, nothing will work. If it is all good then:
So then something got fried in the starting circuit or one of the main circuits.
Turn key on to start, it sends 12V to the start/lock relay, that in turns sends 12V to starter solenoid, and when that kicks in the main 12V from the battery is applied to the starter motor
It could be the relay, electrical portion of the key switch, something like that
However, you say the car is completely dead, no power anywhere...right? Are you sure the battery is good and is charged?
Also check the two grounding points, at the battery and behind the right wheel, goes from the engine to the chassis
