Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

noticed a significant dripping and pooling of coolant located on the front passenger side of the vehicle just forward of the right front tire. any ideas or fix?

POST 2Original post

Radiator core or end cap. Replace the radiator(s). Coolant hose leak replace the hose.

POST 3Original post

The turbo radiators are known to fail at this age. Never had any problems with my boxster but replaced all three on my turbo.

thanks for the feedback. the car only has 29K, so hopefully its just one of the hoses

J. Raby a while back pointed out all cooling system parts are more an age rather than mileage failure. Rads. water pump's composite blades, hoses and such immersed continually in coolant. Last year my pass. side rad. needed replacement at 58 km's. Expect the drivers side will act up soon.

cant get the inner wheel well cover loose from where it slides into the bumber. any ideas?

POST 8Original post

You have a few more screws to go. Parts diagram showing attachments http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=801-75

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

im not trying to remove the inner wheel well protecter, im just trying to open it at the top sufficiently to remove a screw inside and upward of the side marker as shown in several online front bumper removal. as usual what seems to be straight forward and simplistic seems to usually become problamatic for me. ive followed all of the fastener removals as noted in the videos, but i cant seem to get the inner liner open enough to remove what the video says is underneath the protector upward????? driving me nuts, and its a short drive

POST 10Original post

So is the intention to get the bumper off? If so, yes there is a screw that needs to come out in that area that can be accessed without taking off the liner entirely. You will have to remove the plastic push plug in the upper right of the image you posted. If they are old try a light spray of WD-40 or silicone lubricant - then if they are old replace them. They are cheap. Once thats removed it should give you enough space to pull the liner to get to the screw. However TBH its probably worth getting the wheel off and properly removing the liner.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for your reply. yes im trying to remove the front bumper to access the right radiator/ hose leak. would prefer not to remove the wheel if possible. i have a limited space in my single car garage. i have already removed the plastic retainer whice you describe. i just cant get the inner liner to bend back enough to access that last screw. i have removed all other fasteners. very very frustrating

POST 12Original post

Got very scraped knuckles when I did it without removing the liner completely, also feared I'd break it. Got it done but wouldn't do it like that again if I can help it. I think a longer Philips head screw driver helped too. Is the bumper off or still at it?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

im still at it. hehe, but taking a couple days off to plan my next attack. what do you think about using a hair dryer to soften the wheel well cover to make it more pliable? or wd-40??

POST 14Original post

No need to heat the liner or use WD-40 on it, you only need to lubricate these things so they are easier to pull out:

POST 15Original post

If you don’t remove tire and wheel liner how are you going to get to the radiator/hose that needs to be replaced. BTW I ripped my liner trying to do it your way.
