Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I believe the PO of my vehicle had a radar detector hard wired in the car, with the sensor mounted to the front bumper. There's a wire in my front bumper, and there's a small **** (pictured), mounted on the side carpeting to the left of the radio/AC center console. When I turn the switch on, I see three small lights light up on the dash. One, is orange is looks to be a "power on" indicator. Then I will see a light on each end of the dashboard, which looks to be an indicator of the direction of the radar, although I'm not sure. These two lights shut off after a few seconds. I have no idea what brand the PO used, or if this is even a radar system. Does any of you know about any of this stuff? If this is indeed a radar system, would I be able to purchase a sensor, connect to the wire in the front bumper, and be good to go? If so, could it be any brand or would I have to find something specific? Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks! **** on drivers side of center console

My PO put in a K40. I think mine is newer or upgraded because it has a remote control. I had some questions and emailed K40 I got a call back within a hour. Very nice customer service guy had me text him pictures and he answered my questions. He was also able to tell me the front sensors were not installed correctly. He sent me a list of installers in my area so I could get it fixed. I would have to say their customer service is top notch.
