Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

When I go from engine braking to accelerating and vv, I notice a play and a slight "clunk" noise from the drivetrain. I am not touching the clutch. Can it be a bad engine- or transmission mount? Where should I start looking?

I've owned my C4S for 6 years and all of that time I've felt there was "play" in the drivetrain. Had it into the dealer twice and each time they say it's fine. Took it into another shop recently and they also said they thought it was fine. The other shop guy was a Porsche dealer mechanic for several years before starting his own very successful business.......so, I guess it's fine!!
