Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can someone who has installed this mirror please tell me exactly how to wire it up?...Thanks

POST 2Original post

i didnt come with instructions or a wiring diagram? long story short you are going to need a constant hot, a switched hot that is hot when the car is running and off when the car is off, and a ground. I dont have one but I did a little googling.

POST 3Original post

When I did mine, I used a pre-fab harness like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-pin-Pigta...-/301119372677 Installation is easier if you have a coupe, as all three wires (12v switched, 12v constant, and ground) are available at the dome light. This Renntech post explains the installation process for a coupe: https://www.renntech.org/forums/tuto...elink-install/ Cabs are missing one of the 12v lines (12v switched, IIRC) at the dome light, hence the need for some extra wiring. I have a cab, so I ran a 3 conductor wire across the top of the windshield, down the driver's side A pillar, and under the dash to the phone connector. The phone connector provides ground and both 12v lines.

POST 4Original post

Pics from a few years ago when I first installed it ... in these pictures, the wiring is somewhat slack and sleeve on the wiring is pulled back a bit to show the individual wires. The wiring harness from the mirror goes under the Gentex wiring cover, up into the dome light, then under the windshield trim, under the A pillar trim, and under the dash to the phone connector.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
