Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you first of all for reading. Long story short: Bought a 996 with a non working driver side lowbeam (highbeam and turn signal are OK) Passenger headlight works great. Replaced the bulb and ballast. Still bad. Tried a 2nd headlight off another car. lowbeam still did not work (highbeams and turn signal did) My top two guesses are bad headlight switch or a bad fuse. Any ideas are appreciated!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Solved: It was a blown fuse. I hope that this can help someone else in the future. Thanks

POST 3Original post

I'm glad you found the issue and good job reporting back with the solution. I'm sure it will help someone in the future.

POST 4Original post

Marty thanks so much for reporting back on your issue being solved. Most times posters just leave the post, never to be heard from again. Very annoying for a person with the same problem.
