Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

With 15k miles, hell yea I'd put them back in if they look like new and I have done it many times, if doing a repair under warranty Porsche will not pay for new spark plugs when your doing a repair JUST because you had them out.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My car is 14 years old with 15k miles. Im the second owner and have done all the gremlins that could stop her. I have no record of plugs being changed by first owner. Runs great. Should I change plugs and coil packs??upgrade to 997 ones
I would definitely change the plugs if for no other reason but to get them broken free after 15 years... Inspect the coil pack for cracks, replace if cracked. Or order them in advance and just replace them anyway...
I would take em out and look at them, if they look like new put some anti-sieze on them and reinstall. I have seen way too many spark plugs break off from being installed too long, the anti-sieze drys up burns off and they get stuck. That turns into a bad day.
Really? At less than $20 for a set of plugs and more than a little bit of a PITA to change, I can't imagine of putting 14 year old /15K mile plugs
back
in after removing them, no matter how clean they look!
Really? The ones you buy to put in might be 16 years old !! And NO there is no manufacture date on them. And the Porsche OEM spark plugs cost 20 bucks EACH!! With 15k miles, hell yea I'd put them back in if they look like new and I have done it many times, if doing a repair under warranty Porsche will not pay for new spark plugs when your doing a repair JUST because you had them out. And most customers won't either, even if there is no extra labor involved if there is only 15k miles. Hell some platinum spark plug maintenance is 100k miles !!
If you are doing the work yourself, there is no reason Not to put new plugs in , even if it's just piece of mind, i recently did plugs , just because i didn't know when they were changed and who did them.
you shouldn't be on here asking questions. You should be out driving your car and putting some miles on it. Get things working again as they should. Change all oils and coolant and go from there. Any 'would be' gremlins will pop up only by running the car.
I agree while plugs should be on the list the cooling system, water pump, thermostat, transmission oil, engine mounts, and air-oil separator should be higher up on the list for age-related (not mileage) replacement than spark plugs. Also the starter-alternator cable and alternator voltage regulator are worth looking at too. My starter-alternator cable (called the Y-cable) was toast after 12 years and 21K miles...replacing it made a huge difference in starter crank speed, charging, and cold idle performance.
