Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Depends on what you mean glass gone bad. I am assuming you have the auto tint one and the liquid is leaking? I think you have to buy the whole unit for replacement, its not cheap if you want to keep the auto tint. there is some aftermarket units with out the tint function for a fraction of the price. its not a hard DIY to change them out.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I think I found place that actually fixes the auto dimming part, you send them the mirror. No if I can figure out how to remove it! haha

Thanks, I need it too. Oh, now I have to do the Valentine One mirror!

POST 6Original post

I have a new OEM auto-dimming mirror that I purchased for my 2002 996 from Gert at Carnewal. I don't have that car anymore and would be happy to sell it at a discount. It has never been installed in a car. Please PM if interested - thanks!
