Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

Backing up and getting out of there was probably the best decision.

Suggestion

If that wasn't possible, I would have driven into the guy and crushed him against the wall, then backed up and rammed him again, then backed up and run over him a couple of more times, and then I would have gotten out of the car and jumped up and down on his head until it was as flat as a road pelt, and then I would have peed on him.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

I would have done exactly the same but without clipping the guy's car and denting my own. If that wasn't possible, I would have driven into the guy and crushed him against the wall, then backed up and rammed him again, then backed up and run over him a couple of more times, and then I would have gotten out of the car and jumped up and down on his head until it was as flat as a road pelt, and then I would have peed on him.

POST 3Original post

Shiiiiit actually crazy! I've heard stories about South Africa... Have no idea what I would have done but hopefully escape like they did.

JI's best post yet. 100% agree. I spent some time in JBurg a number of years ago. But it was in the good ol' days of apartheid, so was totally safe. Has gotten totally insane there since that time.

POST 5Original post

This was the only proper action to take, including crashing into the other car. South Africa is bad, they will still kill you even AFTER taking the car. Volkert

POST 6Original post

Jacob Zuma condemned the Porsche driver next day for attacking an innocent 'youth' for trying to help him enter his residence and protect him from anyone trying to sneak in. Riots were held, stores were burned, Porsche's owner was hacked to death and his house ransacked.

Agree. This is the most logical answer. Well put.

POST 8Original post

A good friend of mine is from JBurg. His dad was killed for a $200 Black and White TV.

I would've pulled out my phone and called John, then clipped and lit a cigar as the above unfolded. Outstanding post, JI.

POST 11Original post

The Porsche driver is lucky he didn't get shot. Gun might not have been functional/real/loaded, but you never know. Have to assume it is and that the criminal is going to shoot you. Backing up and getting out of there was probably the best decision.

POST 12Original post

The fact is that in today's world, our cars (and other demographics) make us potential targets. It is all well and good to talk about something that happened far away and to someone else, but have you put in place the decisions and actions you will take if you find yourself in the victim's situation...either in your car our out of it? Most people never see the violence coming until it is on top of them. Practicing situational awareness is perhaps the best first line of defense you can use.

You're exactly right. The best way to avoid violence is to try not to put yourself in a position to become a victim. If I had been the driver of the white Porsche in the video, I would have done the same thing. I am a concealed weapon permit holder and I regularly have a compact .45 with me. That being said, I would always try to flee first. My policy is and has always been that if I ever have to draw my weapon, then somebody is going to die (either me or the assailant!).
