Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm replacing my stock wheel with a Momo that has no airbag. As I understand it, I have 3 options. Drive around with Airbag light on - (Not an option I am considering) Fool Airbag system with resistor - Where can I buy the orange clock spring connector? Have airbag system set to not check for drivers airbag with a PIWIS - Can anyone confirm that this can be done? Can Durametric Pro do it? Also, with options 2 and 3, do the other airbags still fire in the event of an accident?

POST 2Original post

I would do #2. I need to look at the connector to advise. Yes, all airbags should still fire even if one is missing.

It is reportedly the orange connector here: There is some great info on this thread, but I don't want to cut the wires off my existing clock spring. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...-jumper-3.html This is a rough version I found in that thread. I would tuck it away nicely and heat shrink it.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My wheel and adapter should arrive tomorrow. I may end up cutting the plug of my current clock spring assembly.
