Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

This could mean something is operating marginally so sometimes it fails the tests but it passes the tests afterwards multiple times, enough to reset the CEL.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apologize if this is a stupid question. My CEL lit up 250 miles ago - was waiting to take it in... and automagically, the light came off. Is this possible? The issue in the past has been O2 sensors - not sure about this recent incident. Is this possible? Or has my CEL light burnt out? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Yes, it's possible. To check the bulb, you just put the key to the last position before crank, the CEL should turn on.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Frickin amazing! Thank you Ahsai!!! Yes - the CEL is operating correctly. I love my 99 C2 996! Thank you!

POST 4Original post

No worries for now but don't be too surprised if the CEL pops back on. This could mean something is operating marginally so sometimes it fails the tests but it passes the tests afterwards multiple times, enough to reset the CEL.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Ahsai - I will let my indie know, and we'll keep an eye on it! Thanks again for the assistance! Cheers.
