Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Manually raises and lowers the spoiler.
OR it makes the car explode...
Once raised, the spoiler will stay up until you exceed and then slow back down from the speed at which the spoiler normally deploys. If you want it to stay extended (for example, you're at an autocross or you're a hopeless douchebag), manually deploy the spoiler and then pull the fuse.
Unless it's the self-destruct button, in which case that was all intended to trick you into pressing the switch.
Is that listed in the manual as "mysterious black switch" under the M's, or "unmarked black switch" under the U's?
OP, welcome to the first of many lectures you'll receive from our "enthusiast community."
Your next one will no doubt be someone else ragging on you for not searching sufficiently before asking.
Wrong. Once you hit the button it stays up until you turn the car off. Then the next time you drive it it will go down after you go above and then drop below the retraction speed.
Maybe I was too harsh...I apologize...but in thumbing through the owner's manual about 15 pages in is a nice picture with labels and number 12 is labeled "switch for retractable spoiler". OP, if you'll PM me your email address, I'll send you a pdf of the owner's manual.
Someone explain to me why the people that leave bits of wiring harness out if you don't have a given option (which means every harness is close to unique!) feel the need to include this button on factory aero cars?
Hmm, given their propensity for hoarding copper wire, it would not shock me to pull that panel off to find it's not connected to anything...
All righty then...who the hell drives around town with their spoiler up when they are cruising at 30MPH? God forbid the car gets squirrelly at that speed.
That switch should only be used for washing/detailing....or not at all...
Now, why should he waste his time doing that when he can just ask here?
By the way, ignore those that would have you believe it's a spoiler switch. Lots of jokers here. DON'T push that button!
Possible responses to pushing that button:
1. Starts the song by Salt'N'Pepper - "Push it"
2. The equivalent of Siri voices - "Drive Beeotch!"
3. Passenger side prank fart noises
4. Engages noise cancellation in case of nagging wife syndrome.
5. Turns off the AirBag light accompanied by snicker and whisper, "It's been there all the time!"
6. Reveals a Becker radio code that doesn't work.
7. Floods interior with loud white noise to drown out ticking, knocking, and rattling engine noises.
8. Porsche equivalent to OnStar, but redirects all calls to Flat6 Innovations
9. Illuminates *middle finger* graphic to ricers or other teenage Kia drivers that want to race.
10. Begins English lectures by Professor 5CH3LL
11. It starts a Camp fire song, "If you're fast and ya know it, clap your hands..."
12. reclines the passenger seat, sprays women's pheromones in the air, and connects you with Bill Cosby for step by step instructions.
13. transforms the entire car into a big mirror when targeted by Photo Radar speed cameras.
14. Causes KK to jump out of the frunk naked like in the movie
Hangover
15. Causes Guards Red 996 Turbos to melt within a 30 mile radius when driving though Kansas City
Hey Professor... I think they're all *pepper* if you wanna know the truth. ha!
Naw, they think most of the 80s music is a joke with the exception of "Ice Ice Baby".
Oh man, tell me you guys covered that song. Obviously you were "Salt", was the guy on the far left "Pepa"?
(Even if you didn't, just lie and say you did - makes for a better story)
From left to right: Boogie, Choda, AK, me (The Devil), and Tuner.
The watch is often mistaken for a fifty-four-year-old non-date Rolex Oyster Perpetual from the Caracas store of Serpico Y Laino, but it was in fact a Timex.

Beavis and Butthead was genius. Captain Picard and I are both fans (Sir Patrick Stewart is an "obsessed" Beavis and Butthead fan, stating that it "will be singled out as a very, very important cultural phenomenon").
I can't take more than 10 seconds of Ren & Stimpy before I'm ready to throttle whomever turned it on.
Beavis & Butthead definitely had some great moments, but Judge did so much better with King of the Hill.
I still don't understand how Futurama got canned but they keep kicking The Simpsons' dead carcass down the road season after painful season.
My car did not include one when i got it. I do have it in pdf now, thanks to a member. i still reserve the right to ask the "obvious" and "dumb" questions, and will expect the full ridicule that comes with the free educucation
My 996 came with two manuals. Who knows where it stole that second copy from. I'm like... "Bad bad car.... go to your room and think about what you've done!"
And my 996 is not potty trained either... always taking a leak where it sleeps and farting in public.
13 1/2 more pages to go...
So far we have covered what the switch is for.
What the switch is not for.
80's music.
90's Cartoon TV shows.
The joys of Rennlist Membership.
