Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Anything new about C4S wings that does not contradict with the standard one?

POST 2Original post

OFFTOPIC:: Does the 996TT wing (tail) fits the C4S ?? Another question Does the 996TT Wing Fits on the Carrera Cabriolete ?

POST 3Original post

I have heard something that the C4S wing is wider by 11mm and raises to a different height than the normal Carrera wing because of its different size. However, I don't know that for a fact. '02 Lapis Blue C4s w/Short Shift

Does anyone know if the TwinTurbo spoiler will fit the C4S cab? Related: Does PAG provide an option to install the side air inlets (in front of the rear fenders) on a C4S or C4S Cab, like in the old days when you could order a Turbo Look car? Thanks Jim

POST 5Original post

Heh-heh-heh, your questions seem to bring more questions,Fadz. Nothing new as far as I now. The 996 TT rear wing and engine cover will still fit , and all 996TT aftermarket wings should fit the C4S coupe. Dunno about the new C4S cab.

POST 6Original post

Dont do it Fadz!! I just installed the 9ff wing on my car and I am having aerodynamic problems. The car is baring to the left and I might need to change the front bumper, another major cost. The wings are getting expensive, then installing and painting them are a pain, since most of them are very cheap in quality especially the 9ff one from what I have seen. By the way, the Turbo wing is not a direct fit on the C4S, lots of modifications are needed to fit properly, one of my other options before. So now I am considering either a TechArt Type II front bumper or an OEM GT2 front bumper. Good luck Fadz and yes I will post pics once the car is out of the shop dont worry I knew you were gonna ask anywayz.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hahahaha! You bet, waiting for the pics. should look great with GT2 front bumper. sorry about the trouble you're facing will be solved hopefully. TT rear wing and engine cover? you're right needs alot of mods. moreover costly $8K without fixing, etc... Palting what do you think? bad news from 03-C4S!

POST 8Original post

Fadz the only thing I would honestly recommend is to go OEM. The only wing that will directly fit is the Carrera rear spoiler in the Tequipment 911 book. Part No. OQO 044 802 04 I believe it is what Don has on his Cab. Best of luck with it.

POST 10Original post

Porsche dealer should have it, if not you can go to www.suncoastporsche.com and check it out.

POST 11Original post

Fadz i dont know if its the same thing you are asking about but i went to Dubai porsche Dealer (ALnabodah) and they gave me the Tequipment 996 book i dont know if all the parts are included but it had some wings, wheels etc. with parts numbers if you want i can pass by and give it to you.

POST 12Original post

Does 996 C4S wing fit 996TT, without major modification? Thanks.

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 7661556

why would you want to do that? You need the downforce on the turbo, and changing out the rear wing will upset the aero balance.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 7661734

Agreed! The C4S rear end sans wing looks better than the Turbo.

Was looking for info on putting turbo decklid on a C4S... found more questions than answers! That said, since this old thread is revived I'll let ya guys know how it works out. I took the wing of and sanded 2 days ago, had paint done today and am hoping to have it installed before the weekend if I can modify the airbox instead of replacing it with the turbo one (hey a guys a allowed dream ) Wish me luck!! Cheers Sid.

POST 21Original post

well it's done, crazy amount of work but well worth it! cheers!

POST 22Original post

nice Sid..... is this an OEM TT lid? cool if it is..... any pics on how you did it?

POST 24Original post

Hey Thanks guys! And yes it's a stock tt decklid (but the custom wing makes it though) I'll do a short write up on it (new thread) when I've taken the pics of the inside. Cheers! Sid.

POST 26Original post

Sid, aren't you concerned with brake light visibility issues? I notice a lot of American Ford Mustangs doing similar tint mods including some Lambos and it's hard to see their brake lights illuminate during the daytime (especially so with incandescent bulbs). It looks to me like the paint guy was lazy to tape off and decided to paint over the entire car!

POST 27Original post

Quotes source post: 7712119

Funny : Actually I did the brake light and taillight myself (sometimes if ya want to get it done right, you've got to do it yourself) and there's no issues with the 3rd brake lights, they are definitively bright. The taillights were a different issue though... but for those i wired in the fog lights to work with the other sockets of the taillight (doubling the light output). You can check out the write-up on it at (post 19) https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...r-stuff-2.html Cheers, Sid.
