They were able to balance the very first set of Ventus V12 Evo2's I bought (stupidly) from TireRack after TireRack's recommended installer tried 5 (!!) times to get the wheels properly balanced; they replaced a BFG on my Corvette because it had a minor high-speed vibration that couldn't be corrected with weights - all without griping.

I'm a big Discount Tire fan - my local shop has always been professional, capable, and willing to match any pricing I've seen anywhere else. They just set me up with a fresh set of Ventus V12 Evo2's after I picked up dgjks6's used 18's. I walked in with a competitor's quote and Discount didn't just match it; they beat it by over $100 INCLUDING the warranty product they offer.
I noticed a nail in the rear driver side tire on Mrs. 5chn3ll's Murano when I was rotating the tires last weekend, so I asked her to head over and get them to repair it. Upon inspection, it was found to be a double puncture; their policy doesn't allow them to patch two holes immediately next to each other. These tires are only a little over a year old, but heavily worn courtesy of thousands of miles of mountain driving.
The manager at Discount mounted a used tire in the same model and size as the leaking tire; he didn't want her to leave on a tire with an active leak. I asked her to get a quote for a full set of replacement tires; they came up with a final out-of-pocket number of $158. The invoice for the set being replaced was $634.
Discount will be getting an attaboy from me.
* They ensured Mrs. 5chnell left with a better tire than the one she drove in on - at no cost.
* They discounted a new set of tires by 75% since we had the tire protection policy. The $158 out-of-pocket included the same policy for the new tires.
* They made no attempt to up-sell, over-charge, or otherwise try to put the screws to my wife...and let's face it, even in 2016, there are plenty of places that will try to prey on people they think might not know better.
This Discount store in Mission Valley (6131 Mission Gorge Rd) is the bomb. No, and I have not scratched the Falken logo to see if it rubs off and says Telluride or Compass underneath, and I have not tested to see if they were inflated with used air.

Have I mentioned how nice it is to type reviews on this Microsoft(R) ergonomic keyboard? It's so precise and responsive that it becomes almost unnecessary to proofread on my I-INC iH282 28" HDMI-enabled monitor.

My AMG is on the Evo 1s, tell me how you are liking your Evo 2s.
I went with Milestar 932s for Acura, and for a price those tires were great. Quiet, handle well in the rain, and wear out well. $60 a pop is a steal IMO.
And BTW, Nankang tire is IT for 996s. Look at the cars they have on their site:

I have had both the original Ventus V12 Evo and then the Evo2. My only real complaint with the Evo's was the sidewall being a little soft, especially when the tires get hot; the V2's are better in that regard.
The V12s are pretty good street tires, just don't track them, they get greasy fast
Another good low cost street tire is the Sumitomo HTR ZIII.
I'll have to try DT next time I am needing tires. Should be soon as I have a few track weekends coming
Yeah the fellows that work there are the bomb, I've stopped there a few times and their customer service is above and beyond. I too have those Ventus V12 evo2 for the D.D. (not the 996) which reminds me I actually due for a new set soon.

As an aside, I use the Discount Tire right next to their Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale. The service is great and you could eat off the floor in the workshop.
