Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace brightness of the light-emitting' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace brightness of the light-emitting' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Any idea why the little LEDs that act like a dim interior courtesy light in my rear view mirror and door handle don't shut off?
Car is a 04 TT cab.
They will stay on for hours after I shut the car off (on the next morning after I park it for the night) and no other lights will be on with them.
Thanks.

I've had this same issue with the Instrument cluster lights. Happens maybe every couple of weeks or so and lasts for a few hours or a day. They don't turn off with the key or lockup. No rhyme or reason that I can tell. My backdoor remedy to not come out to a dead battery, is remove the B10 fuse. Put it back in next time I drive and usually it's fine next time I shut off and lock the doors. ???
Funny both my 99' and this 04' had/have the massive delay in shutting off the instrument cluster display. The 99' would do it for up to an hour sometimes... the 04' usually shuts off after 10 minutes or so.
this is my problem -- this light is now on whenever I drive, but it wasn't on before:
(Sorry, the big red arrow is an option only available on the seal grey 2001 C4 with these particular specs)
Here's some info from the owner's manual:
Orientation light
Light-emitting diodes in the doors and in the
interior light improve your orientation inside the
vehicle when it is dark.
The light-emitting diodes are switched on when
the vehicle is unlocked and switched off again
when the vehicle is locked.
Light-emitting diode in the interior light
Changing the brightness of the light-emitting
diode:
~ Press switch C with a pointed object (such as
a ball-point pen).
The brightness changes.
Based on this, the lights are supposed to go off when the car is locked.
