Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thank you for the message, i will check for the adapters and see how it works.
Leading evidence: 'Check adapters and see how it works' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check adapters and see how it works' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a Momo steering wheel i just got off my Corrado and i was wondering if it is possible to have it installed in my 99 Carrera, it doesnt have an airbag so does it mean it will trigger any codes or an airbag light?
Thank you for your help.
I don't think you would trigger any lites or you might have to 'wire' the car to think it has a airbag. Not sure. You might need a Momo adapter hub though. I had one on my '86 Carrera...but that was before airbags.
Here is the Momo steering wheel installed in my 99 996. You will need the adapter hub. If you want the airbag light to stay off, you will need a resistor to make the car think it has an airbag installed.
Not meaning to put a downer on things but wouldn't you want the safety of an airbag given the performance limits of these cars?
Not meaning to offend or demean but I wouldn't do it.
Pete
I have to agree as far as safety comes, but i rarely drive the car and never sees the track, i just like the looks and the feel of this steering wheel.
I don't have an answer, but just measure the resistence across the bag when you have it out, then a trip to radio shack....
I DONT THINK this will pop the bag. There is a little current that has to run to get the measurement. So little, it shoudlnt pop the bag. But its yoru call
Afast16v, I have not bought the part yet for my car....sorry, I don't know how many ohms resistance it should be. Gert at Carrenewal supplys the part. It might also be available from the dealer...try Eric at Sunset Porsche.
I am not a big fan of airbags. I have seen lots of people saved by seat belts in accidents, not so many by airbags. I have hit several deer, both at work and in my personal cars. I would rather not have a airbag deploy, while going around a bend at 50+ mph. When I get my project car completed (1959), I won't worry too much about the lack of airbag. Definately a personal choice...I did choose to keep my passenger side airbag in place.
Tim, I really like the way you think.
Where can i get those airbags you posted Gotta911?? i am definitely getting rid of mine and getting some of those, it looks like they might be easier on the driver
Have a read of these, they'll explain everything...
