Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just a friendly warning....Bypass Pipes used in combination with Fabspeed headers...Way Way to loud.....as in ridiculious loud...untastfully loud.
I took the car for a spin after tip-toeing through the neighborhood(unsucessfully I may add) and besides smiling half the time when the road was clear it is too loud to have fun with....Ive allways said if its too loud your to old..well I guess either 1 I am maturing or 2 its distatstfully loud...fabspeed mufflers going back on as we speak. The lady security guard at the gatehouse where I live asked if I was making all that noise and I told her yeah..too loud right and she nodded with a smile.
I think they will sound tastefully loud with stock headers and cats but this is outta control loud. Id make a video but I dont want neighbors coming out to strangle me.
So muffler bypass pipes..used once (3miles on them)..110 bucks shipped if anyone wants them. I paid 150 shipped.
I didnt have to wait long for the ball breaking........thats why i love this place....
No one here has run them with headers...or atleast I couldnt find a youtube video of a full header and bypass pipe combo...
SOOOO THEY ARE FOR SALE
......who wants them??
Another 30min under car.....should be done...my wrist hurts already....broke it when i was 10yrs old...why do I feel it now???????????????
argh you should have gone for a youtube ride ! I'd would have enjoyed it
When you say muffler bypass, it is a cat bypass, or really no muffler at all ? straight from the header into the wild ?
I know I know.....but I gotta play. Good thing I didnt buy them from fabspeed $550!!!!!!
Well the original setup was fabspeed headers, highflow cats and fabspeed muflers(what Im going back to as we speak)....The outragously loud system was fabspeed headers, highflow cat and bypass pipes...it was unbearable..
OUT TO lowes for some SS hardware....***** F$cka...
While we are on topic of Fabspeed, is there a chance that setup would make me fail smog test in Texas ? I'd like to get my car a little louder, as I am 100% stock right now, but I don't want to have to put everything back for the yearly inspection.
another question: I was going for the Fabspeed muffler only, worth it to update header and cats ? I mean just for sound. I don't care about the power. I have enough
Nothing like being in the middle of a car part swap...and you need some bolts and nuts etc, to finish a relatively simple job you thought would be just a few minutes more to finish...
seriously, the PSE (or PSE Hack Mod) is a great step in the sound dirrection w/o making the car undrivable and does not affect the emmissions. Do a search on "Close PSE" there is a big thread with lots of details on the Hack if you dont want to spend $5k on mufflers
Ok fabspeed mufflers back on.....Much more reasonable.
Nice tennis *****....
My sweetheart playing tennis.

NSFW AT ALL.
Muffler bypass pipes are definitely on the aggressive side, especially when running them with catbypass pipes and sport Cats for all you gung ho guys out there. If you are running the Maxflo mufflers and want a little more aggressive tone and increase in power, our Sport Cat X Pipe is the way to go. It will compliment the rest of the exhaust and I will offer a $100 Rennlist discount to anyone interested. PM me or give me a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Thanks for chiming in Alex, Im very happy with the fabspeed kit...but the combination of headers, sport cats and bypass pipes were just a bit too loud, put the maxflo mufflers back on....alot better. -chris
The tips on the maxflo mufflers look better anyways..
it was worth doing though.... right....
I mean despite everyone saying it was "too loud" you really didnt loose anything by trying so
way to give it the ol' college try
(we know what you will be posting to the next guyu that comes along asking "are by-pass pipes too loud?")
Happy Friday!
Lol, you haven't heard loud. I recently removed my cats & mufflers because I'm going to ceramic coat them black & re-install them...
Well I turned on my car with ONLY headers on (which are also aftermarket & louder than stock), plus it has the Evo intake... Anyway, long story short, all the car alarms on my block turned on & I didn't even drive the car around or rev it above 2K RPM, I just moved it down my driveway & one of my neighbors who hates everyone (everyone hates her back as well, lol) came out & stared at me in an evil way for like half an hour!
headers to custom 200 cell cat, to custom pipe out, no mufflers. Loved it but lost torque with headers and little restriction. Next time, no cats to low restrict muffs, i think this will be ideal.
