Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Finally got one a week ago and I have to say, they make all the difference in the world... windows up, deflector deployed, heater set to 78 degrees directed to the floor and dash, and the heated seats going... I took it down to just about 50 degrees a few nights ago... If it works this well, I may never put the top up this summer... Rudy

POST 2Original post

They rock indeed!!!!! Have been in the snow a couple times with my top down and I don't have heated seats. The wind protection coupled with the awesome heater work like a champ.

POST 3Original post

I hate to steal the epost. I am looking for a replacement red latch for the passenger side of my deflector. It broke off and just the stub of the post remains. I am not spending $300 for a new deflector. Anyone have one or know if they are available. Thanks

POST 4Original post

I used to use the wind deflector on my 2000 996 all the time, it work very great in the cold and removed wind. My 2002 996 came with one but it was cracked in three places. I have been looking for a new deflector but the new seating position will interfere with the deflector. I have now been drive with my seating position far back with steering wheel fully extended. 2000 996 with wind deflector: 2002 996
