I thought it was plastic until they made all the changes for the 02+ cars?

I would try this before you opt to replace the window.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend using FK1 #425 spray for the paint, glass and wheels.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I picked up a nice silver/black one a few weeks ago; 58K...everything is VERY nice anyway...but the rear plastic window don't look so good. Any wonder juice/tonic folks like or just have it replaced? Hazed, dried up looking...
...wishing it were spring here in CT so we can drive it.

Here is a link to anothwer thread about Novus, which, I think, is where Nikedog found out about Novus.

Rudy,
It is "National Be Kind to Newbies" week so I am trying to be patriotic and support the wishes of our legislators because I respect them so much for giving away nearly 1 Trillion dollars to help bail out businesses that hired people that were incompetent and greedy!
Well... I think he's depriving Jim of the true experience... a richer experience... an experience that has become the common bond for the newer members and the milestone for graduation from newbie-hood... (I need to check in the morning to see if the sun still rises in the East...)

spray on some Plexus for weekly use. And don't use a microfiber towel. Just a soft cotton towel.
That should get you 90% there.
Renovo from Europe also works well to remove clouding, that's a proper polish with abrasives unlike Plexus which is just a cleaner (good for tail lights and head lights too). I think you can get both from autogeek.net, detailcity , and other pro detailing suppliers.
Also, I HIGHLY recommend using FK1 #425 spray for the paint, glass and wheels. It's a sort of teflon that goes over your wax of choice and reduces cleanings. Leaves a very slippery surface. That you have to order direcet from

My 2000 has a plastic rear window... glass would would be nice though; my 95' E320 Cab had glass...prolly need a special top to get glass to fit (?)....or can I get a window from a 2002-04 to fit in(?).
I will look into the Novus products first tho...thanks.
My car has 6 inches of snow on it tonite ! I should have built onto to my 2 car garage before getting this one I guess.
Try the Novus first to see how that works.
I don't think you can go with a '02 - '04 top because the mechanism is different. However, GAHH makes tops with a glass window for '99 -'01 models.
