Woohoo. Got them all today The garage is where I'm gonna be this weekend.. How many used sealant instead of adhesive/double sided tape to mount their side skirts? POST 3Original post

Wow, looks like a fun weekend....be sure to have before and after pictures.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

BEFORE THE PAINT JOB, HERE'S HOW THE ORCIARI SPOILER EXTENTION FIT LOOK LIKE. ...and yes, that's the wife's shoe on top of the wooden block

POST 5Original post

Hi Mike, Not familiar with that front extention. Can you tell me where you purchased it? Have fun this weekend....it's snowing again ! Thanks.

POST 6Original post

Hey your doing the same mods I am, i mean to the tee. Only thing diffrent is i am doing a BM Shifter, and replaceing the e-brake whem i am in the console ....

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No affiliation, but the paint shop who applied the speed yellow said that it's the best composite/fiberglass they've seen. Looking at the porsche oem skirt pieces and the Orciari spoiler extension, the mat'l seems to feel and look the same, but I know they're not. Anyways, it's made by Orciari in Italy and distributor is in FL. Email [email removed] , [phone removed], Omar Fernandez. He's the manager, very nice guy to deal with. Give me your email and I'll forward you a couple of pix he sent me of the installed part. Here the manufacturer in Italy http://www.orciari.it/inglese/prodot.../3-4%20ant.htm

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Kilrgt, I think we're only the same on the side skirts. I'm installing H&R and Bilstein and Front Spoiler by Orciari. Nice door trims!! Hope to catch up with you in Toronto man. I might be there in July, will trailer the car. Man, those carbon shifter piece is bad!! Itzkirb, thanks! I love your Misha wing and GT3 front bumper! Awesome ride height.

POST 9Original post

No mike I have the H&R spring with the Bilstein as well, Oh and getting back to your question i posted the same question you did re: 2 sided tape or Urathane, everyone that i have talked to and trust, tells me that the 3M 2 sided tape is the way to go, its pretty forgiving to work with. I evn bought your wheels....funny stuff

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Paul, Cool! I didn't know you're doing the suspension too. That car is gonna look sweet. Yeah, now that you mentioned that you've researched the tape or adhesive issue, I will definitely go for the tape. On the wheels, I almost kept the 5 spoke carrera wheels(like your's) from my last car because of their lightness. If it wasn't for the new owner seeing those wheels with the car in the calssifieds, I probably kept those. These ones that are on now are a little bit wider though. Post pix please when you get your mods done.

POST 11Original post

Throw me in the same boat, except I am doing the second gen GT3 side skirts, and the Misha spoiler this weekend. And when I say me, I mean the body shop :-) Also, I am having the Sport technos painted on the inside, body color. Will post pics when I am done. I am curious to see how that front spoiler turns out, since I haven't decided what to do there yet. My main concern is the Mrs and parking blocks (or whatever you call those concrete things on the ground at the front of parking spaces). Also, if anyone has a line on the RUF rear bumper with the C4S look to it (for a narrow body) I am interested. Have a great weekend!...Eric

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good luck on your projects too Eric. I would love to see that Misha wing when it's done. I Know that Itzkirb and another gent here in SY did a great job in making them look real good on their cars. What color is your's? Are gen 2 GT3 side skirts the same with Aero Kit II, right? (They have those sharper bends compared to 01 and older GT3 skirts) I think thats what mine are picutred above. Got them for $550 from Brandywine Porsche with free shipping

POST 13Original post

Mine is Iris Blue. I also got the skirts from Justin at Brandywine.

POST 15Original post

Hey Mike make sure if you end up this way , you call me and good luck with the mods guys! And OH for what its worth , I am going with a 996 TT front bumper cover....Alon you listening! nudge nudge wink wink

POST 16Original post

If you guys need the factory installation (side skirts) PDF, let me know. I'll email it to ya. email: [email removed] Chad

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Chad, I sent you a personal email. Thanks~Mike

POST 19Original post

Huh? I'm awake now, sorry, it's been the month from hell at work. OK, I heard my name. What's up Paul?

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Almost there. Finished the Shocks/springs and Aero II Side Skirts last night. Completed install of the Orciari front spoiler extension today. I'm gonna let the adhesive cure overnight while purging the brake fluid since I disconnected the brake lines to install the shocks/spring in the front. I'm so anxious to put the car back on its wheels and see the ride height. Here are some pix.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here are the traditional before and after. We'll not actually same positions... Bilstein Sports Shocks H&R 29513 Lowering Springs Porsche Aero II Side Skirts Orciari Front Spoiler The ride is the same. Not hard nor harsh. It really feels the same, smooth as before. I think this is because the H&R 29513 spring rates are lower than OEM/Stock Porsche and the Bilstein Sport Shocks are a little bit harder, so evrything equates to same ride as stock. Next stop, allignment shop.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Mike. Hey, how far are you from the VA border? If you're not far. come out this Saturday for a drive. Here's the link https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ighlight=26feb

POST 24Original post

Carrera Mike, I just mapquested it and it's about 225 miles. No too far for me, but I need to check with the Mrs' to see if she's booked me for sat. Although, after seeing the mods you just did, it may cost me a ton of money to see your car in person (I've always thought about the areo kit). I'll let you know. Mike

POST 25Original post

Hey Mike, your car is looking good! Congrats! Is a rear wing on the way?

POST 26Original post

Excellent job Mike. I hope those PDFs helped. Looks great!! Chad

POST 28Original post

Looks great Mike, Mine should be done soon as well, man this board can cost you more then the Membership!!! I love it

POST 29Original post

Your SY looks sharp!!! Can't wait to convince the pops to get some skirts and a new front (although he has printed out the GT3 skirt install PDF ) I just installed the H&Rs on the stock struts in my dads 04 C2 last week, along with doing the PSE (with switch) and B&M short shifter. Car is a whole new car after doing those, he's extremely happy with everything! Now spring needs to come so I can tag along on some of these Porsche drives!

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Mike , 255! Wow that's way far than I thought. I myself has been wanting to go to the DC but can't muster the motivation for the 180 miles drives

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Chad Thanks a lot on the Aero II procedure sheet. It definitely made the install easy. Specially on how to position the clips. I could have installed them backwards without that sheet you sent

POST 33 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Paul . Post pix of your's when you're done please. Would love to see it. Hey, Although this board cost us upgrades.. it definitely saved us lots of shop manhours $$$$ with all the tips and procedures with pictures(FREE).

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apex Ray , Thanks! How are those PSE sounding?? I would love to get that in the near future. Kirby , Thanks for the kind words.

POST 35Original post

Mike, does the front nose hit those parking blocks now, or will it still clear them. I ask because if they do, the Mrs will find one! ;-) If not, I think it would work out well for me.

POST 36 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi. The very front will clear them, but about 3/4 of the way, it will definitely scrape those parking bumpstops. My driveway has a medium downgrade, and if I drive straight out, it scrapes a little bit. Got to do it sideways

POST 37 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Man! No wing yet.. thinking about it, but not in the near future.

POST 38Original post

No worries...keep on modding!! Now you are going to need a new sig tho!! Chad

POST 39Original post

Hi Mike, Great looking mods. As Apex said I have down loaded the side skirt install PDF from Chad. I also emailed for more information on the front spoiler you have. I will do the same side skirts as you did.... Again it looks great..... PS, The PSE has a great sound. I thought it might be a touch louder but over all I am very happy with it......

POST 40Original post

Mike, After getting a very steep price quote from a couple different places for the shocks install, I think I'm going to do it myself... how hard was the Bilstein install? How many hours did it take and did you use any special tools? Thanks, Mark

POST 41Original post

Did u install the front lip yourself as well? Did you have to do any adjustments or mods necessary for it to fit? I am interested in the Orciari package, too. Just wanted some input. Thanks. Miko

POST 42Original post

Mike, BTW...I also live in VA...where are you?

POST 43Original post

Sweet! Subtle without looking slammed. Nice job!

POST 44 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! Appreciate the nice words!

POST 45 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Miko, Yes I installed the lip myself. No mods on the spoiler. Very nice fit. I just have to hold it on some spots tighter while the sealant cures. The paint I took it too (who does concours quality work) said that it's the best piece he have seen, Didn't need much prep work 'cause of very good primer on it. I'm in Chesapeake, VA about 5 miles south of Greenbrier Mall. Where are you located at? Good luck and let me know if you have other questions.

POST 46Original post

Thanks for the info, Mike. I would like to know where you had the pieces painted. Also, did the kit come with the necessary adhesives? Sorry to keep bugging you about this. I really admire the work you did on your car and want to do the exact same thing on mine. Miko

POST 47 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No problem at all Miko, glad to help. The OEM side skirts came with double sided tape, which are perfect and does the job well. The Orciari front spoiler lip extension has a nice groove behind where plastic or automotive adhesive could be applied, like clear RTV or silicon. I tried putting double sided tape first but it was too thick and creating a gap. The adhesive worked well or is way better for the front lip. I had all pieces painted by Phil at Eurofinish in Virginia Beach. Phil is the owner and is know in the area as the best quality paint job you can get for a Porsche. Concours picky enthusiast relies on him. His no is [phone removed].

POST 49 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Vove. Your's is looking awesome too. I noticed you've installed side skirts and a new front bumper. Those intakes are NASTY!

POST 51 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've tried more than a couple of times going up there and meeting everyone. I guess I'm not trying hard enough One of these days i'll make it up.

POST 52Original post

I meant that a bunch of us from the area should get together just to shoot the breeze... Maybe at a local starbucks or something..

POST 53Original post

Absolutely. Maybe we can meet @ the Starbucks in Potomac Village (there's a few of us in Potomac), Rockville, or wherever. Should be a blast. I'm hoping to get my car back from the shop late this week...

POST 54Original post

Mike, spoke to Omar who sells the Oriciari kit from FL. I wanted to just get the front lip spoiler and he is charging me $720.00 for it including painting it. Do u think this is a good price or should I just get it painted locally? Thanks for any input. Love your car, man....very tastefully done.

POST 55 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thats not bad. I think I paid 600 without paint... If he's applying good quality FLEXIBLE paint 150 is a good deal.
