Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'x73' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'x73' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace bump stops too' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Our local PCA club had an event at Watkins Glen last week and I had a good chance to try out the new set up. Wow what a difference from stock in my 2002 C4S. First of all it's hard to believe but the car actually rides better. I think there is less suspension travel on the larger bumps but less harshness on the small bumps. All in all it is better on the street than stock IMHO.
On the track there is a tremendous difference in the balance and predictability of the car. With stock suspension the car would understeer to the point that I just felt out of control. Now the car has a balanced feel and is more sure footed. Although there is still some understeer it is very mild, predictable and comfortable. The car now feels like what I thought I was buying in the first place.
I really don't understand why Porsche sells the C4S without this suspension that they offerin europe only. BTW it was pretty easy to install and I bought it from Gert at Carnewal.
Dave, I was there with my blue C4S as well in the yellow s.o. group, I'm about to get the x73 as well. Did you do it yourself?
See you at pocono.
Chris
You are all correct it was the X73. Of course that's the one that fits on the wide body cars. I did not do the install myself. I used Farnbacher Loles in Danbury Ct. and they aligned it too. The install on the turbo and C4S is easy because these models come stock with X73 sways so the only thing you do is install springs and shocks. The entire package arrived in one somewhat heavy but easy to manage box.
I am salivating and drooling on my keyboard, Dave! It drops significantly from stock, so how big a hassle is that on streets and driveways? Don't you have to change the bump stops too? If you don't mind, how much was the install? E-mail or PM me if you hesitate to post the numbers on the board. Thanks!!! and Congrats!
Oh, yeah. PICS!!!!!
on the steets yet. I guess I am a bit careful but again I have not had any problems. The suspension costs around $2500 for parts, shipping, import duty and the install was under $500 from a local Porsche specialty shop. The only thing I had done after the install was an alignment. You may know this is not an adjustable system so unless I go one more step, and do the GT3 sways then I am finished with messin with this.
Actually have not decided what to do about the sways in the future but for now (and maybe forever) I am just enjoying what I have.
As mentioned above I did Watkins Glen last week and really pushed the car hard. I am still smiling!!
