Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, After lurking for years, I'm finally going to introduce myself. I just purchased a 1999 C4 w/ 65K miles. I bought it in Nashville and drove it home to MI, about 700 miles. It was a great way to get to know the car and to read the owners manual. The cas has a few issues that I'm working out but so far I am really enjoying it. This is my 2nd 911, my first was a 1995 993. I think the '95 was a better looker but the 996 is more fun to drive and a more practial driver. My intention is to drive the 996 alot, to the grocery store, car pools, work and with a good set of snow tires into the winter. So dispite my screen name I am really liking the 996. Thanks for all the good info that's posted, it really helped me go into this with my eyes open. I have attached pic's. If they don't show up at least I tried. FYI I also drive a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 and a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon. Regards

POST 2Original post

try those pic's again. As to the looks, i suspect a few nice mods may change your mind!
