Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

sooo..I am not sure I get it (Sprint booster that is...)...it makes the car "feel" faster, but doesn't change the acceleration time (per the website)...is there another benefit to dropping $300+ on this?
Leading evidence: 'Replace acceleration time (per the website)...is there another benefit' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace acceleration time (per the website)...is there another benefit' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I purchased one of the first units. Heading home from my nieces college graduation the car revs but will not go foward. On the top of a bridge on a freeway(thank God I had flares). Pulled it out and the car runs fine, drove on home. Mailed it back in with a letter and have heard nothing.
The road flares kept people swinging wide as they approached. Strongly recommend them.
thats sad to hear,
tell me, how do you like it on your 996?
i just bought one for my dad's cayman S, hope he will like it,
might purchase one for my 996, waiting for some feedbacks
Sorry for your troubles-- how long was the unit in service? Any warning of trouble? I have had mine for about 12 months, and its been trouble free...
I agree it is "jumpy" at start up, and quite noticeable with my Tip. Better to let the car reach standard operating temp (for many reasons) and then switch it on. Problem solved.
Keep us posted on any reply from the mfr. Meanwhile, think I'll pick up a pack of flares on the ride home.
Mine was not switchable. Started disengageing the throttle to the engine couple times before it went went completely. Where it went was the scary part. At the top of the over pass bridge with not much berm.

TIA

Wow that sucks!!!
I got a s.b. myself a few months ago... I'm really hoping this doesn't happen to me also!
Not the the best pr. to take care of ya by wanting to sell ya another one for 75 bucks off... if it would have been for free that's a different story.
Cheers.
Sid.
