Need a few suggestions on companies that perform oil analyses.

Many of the people on this board use Blackstone Laboratories . I use them as well. They do a UOA (Used Oil Analysis) for $25, and they provide you with the testing kits free of charge. Check out their FAQ on their website. They are pretty quick on the response, just a few days to a week, and they can email the written report to you. They also give you a written analysis of what they have found in their analysis of the oil. larry

If you go to NAPA you can buy the kit that gives you the bottles and the required paperwork to fill out. Wix (NAPA's filter supplier) uses a third party company called ALS Labs. Good point, and Blackstone will tell you how many engines make up their "universal average" for that specific model and engine size.. If you call in and ask. Plus, they don't include Porsche engines that are raced or damaged, as not to skew the numbers.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
