Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Picked up my '02 C4 cab from the dealer after having several warranty covered repairs done including replacement of driver's airbag... (airbag light on, not sure of codes, but covered for replacement so wasn't too worried) asked the service writer if they had fixed the horn and he said he was sure that they (techs) would have made sure it was working... When they pulled up the car we tried the hor, and nothing. A little sheepishly he said he would take it back to them to addresss it. Several minutes go by and you can hear a horn honking from the shop... a bit of time passes and more honking... a bit more time goes by and he goes back to see when the car will be ready (closing time and I had already let him know I was on the way to the tire store for tires...) He comes back in a bit perplexed and tells me that the horn works fine with the key on andn the engine not running, but with the engine on, no horn!?! The tech had apparently originally tested the horn before starting the car. Two techs are scratching their heads trying to figure out why the horn has no power to it with the engine running?? After a bit more time, I agree to let them put it back together and bring it back so that we can all get out of there and so that I don't have to spend the weekend in the Honda accord rental! Anyone had this problem or know of a likely solution? All other electrical works fine, and zero after market wiring...

POST 2Original post

sounds like the ignition switch... $30 and 15minutes...

Would guess that too if it hadn't already been replaced previously, and none of the tell-tale signs or feel of a bad switch... guess I will find out when I take it back in.
