Also I just found that a good pair of scissors can cut the mesh a lot easier then using wire cutters..

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have the mesh grill inserts by cargraphic. I'm curious about the quality and installation procedure. I've seen some posts were guys have gone to Home Depot and bought the mesh and cut it to fit. Might still be an option for me. Just curious if anyone has had experice with the Cargraphic product and what you think of it.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any pictures of a black 996 with inserts?

POST 3Original post

I believe Kevin M. got the inserts with his MASHAW bumper. http://gallery.rennlist.com/albums/a...mper.sized.jpg

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the photo legoDoom. Would love to see some pics of a C2 bumper as well if anyone has any. Do these inserts create any problems by closing up the radiators?

POST 7Original post

I too am interested in the mesh inserts but my 996 is guards red. I guess the only color for the inserts would be black. The silver just doesn't do it for a red car.

POST 8Original post

guys where can i get these my radiator is being smashed by 5 million grasshoppers running the desert high speed. i need them for gt2 does shaw have them>>>

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

996Aero, I think the Silver Mesh with Guards Red might actually look good!!

POST 10Original post

Where can I get these - and how much do they run? I think they look great even on a stock C2 bumper and would make a great addition...

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ZeeZee. I'm told you can get it from cargraphic. Trying to get some more info. I ordered a catologue. www.cargraphic.com

POST 12Original post

yea, you can get them from cargraphic for $220. not cheap for a piece of wire mesh. however, the finish and cut are pretty good. i have some more pics for whoever's interested.

POST 13Original post

Cableguy I have mixed feelings about silver with red!! I think the black would be the way to go but I would like to see a red car with the silver. Might be ok but I would hate to buy them, install them and not like them. Of course I could always remove them and paint them black but more work removing, painting and re-installing!! It never ends with these cars!! Anyone out there got a pic of a red with silver mesh??

POST 14Original post

This is exactly what I need to keep the bugs/leaves out. So how easy is the install? Is this a do it yourself or a major deal taking off the front spoiler? Has any one done it? roy

POST 15Original post

Hey Guys... here is some info on making some custom mesh.. I did this on my old spoiler... After calling Cargraphics, there is a place in LA that sells there stuff, I asked the guy how much for the mesh, $200 for mesh and install, not painted, then asked how much for just mesh $185, what so $15 to take off the bumper and glue them on? Well after further investigating they told me that the just buy the basic mesh at Home Depot $.79 a sheet and cut it themselves..... hmm so to Home Depot I went, 2 sheets $1.58, wire cutters $4, black paint & primer $8, $3 bondo glue.... and a few hours later without taking off front bumber thats what we have. My front spoiler isn't a factory aerokit spoiler, its a copy by MASHAW that goes over the existing bumber, also in order to mesh the top two holes you would have to take the bumper off. I was going to take it to the bodyshop next week, but I decided to give it a shot, the hardest part was cutting the wire, also the sheets were not long enough so had to solder one piece together, but you can't even see it. Also be sure to tape up the painted area before, the mesh will scratch the paint while your attempting to install it. Also I just found that a good pair of scissors can cut the mesh a lot easier then using wire cutters.. Some pics Before After Also here is a red one I found.. with black mesh

POST 16Original post
