This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would like to remove the spare tire from my 99 C2 coupe for additional storage? How do you remove the bolt that holds the spare to the frame? TIA bolobar

Presenting ... the Porsche Hacksaw. j/k there must be another way.

Search, Daniel-san. As Tim would say: DAFS.png On a different topic: there is some merit to leaving the spare in (i.e., structural integrity). This is "confirmed" in a TSB from Porsche related to the boxster. But your 99 has the same front end, so I would assume it applies... Ok, I did the search for you. There is an exact thread on this way back in 2004. Thanks for the search. I did try but I didn't use removing bolt and I got a lot of non applicable responses. I did move the bolt to the passenger side without success. I think I will leave it in place in case I change my mind. One never knows.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
