Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Im currently looking at addind another P-car to my garage. Im looking at a 2002 cab finished in seal grey I believe which is a metallic paint option. It has the Tiptronic S transmission(would also like opinions on this), the technic package, bi-xenon headlights, sport seats, and molded side skirts from factory it also has its matching hardtop. Its for sale at my local BMW dealership and the car was driven by a woman who was the original owner and traded in on a 745. It was bought from our local porsche dealership and was serviced there regularily and has the full service record. The car has a touch less than 24,000 miles on her I put in an offer at $58k and they accepted. Is this a good deal also opinions on the tiptronic would be helpful the only other 996 i have driven is my buddies 99 c2, will this be as fast and handle as nice.(My 993 C2S is a beast to drive so no need for opinions there.
I guess you converted it to US dollars. Keep in mind that you have to pay duty (6.3 % as Porsche are made in Germany) and conversion costs (about $500) on a US imported car compared to a Canadian one. The price sounds OK but you have to be sure if you want a tip. I had a tip before and I liked it but some people don't want a tiptronic.
No Its for sale at my local BMW dealership I just converted it to US dollars because i was guessing the majority of the people on this forum would be American.
I bought a tip because of the traffic in atlanta and I wanted to drive it to work, 70 miles round trip, on occasion. I was afraid I might not like it as well as previous p-cars, but the more I learn about it, the better I like it. I think properly driven it is quicker thatn a manual except from a standing start. I know I can shift quicker in the twisties, either in manual or automatic mode, though manual mode is more fun. It is possible to shift the transmission with the brake and accelerator in auto mode, even faster and more efficiently than possible with the buttons, but it takes practice. I have a 2000 and I understand that 2002 and up is an even better transmission. I still love to drive the boxster and 968 though, and its' probably because of the manual shift. If I had only the 996, I might feel differently long term, but at this point if I were buying another 996 or 997, it would be a tip. I hope my next 911 is a 996TT tip. It will be unless something else becomes more alluring in a used car. I can't bring myself to purchase a new Porsche.
Sounds like a fair price but not a great one. I would check autotrader.com, pcs.org, porsche.com and ebay. I think for a few for dollars you can buy an 03 or find an 02 with much less mileage. All the options you mentioned mean very little for resale value. The dealers just look at year, cond, mileage.
