well, after going on the BAR run today, i had the chance to see 26 or so sets of wheels.

If you can find a set for a good price, jump on them, they are awsome!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know this is a pretty wide and general question. I have a white cab C4 and would like to put new rims and tires on it. I just bought this as my first 911. Anyone have manufacturers that they might recommend? Maybe combinations that have worked well for some of you? I am a spirited driver to say the least, all mountain roads but not really concerned with tire life. More concerned with performance / appearance.
Thanks
I love the look of Fikse's but they only make 3-piece wheels. As far as tires, your selection is limited and you can't really go wrong with Michelins or Pirellis.
You've got a nice car and it deserves a quality set of wheels and tires. That said, the folks at Wheel Enhancement have a very good selection of wheels and tires that should make your decision easier.
Wheel Enhancement
I just got my set of Sport Technos on. Love 'em. I am having them painted, along with side skirts and a wing in a week or so. If you can find a set for a good price, jump on them, they are awsome!
c4bliss,
Are those 18" Porsche Sport Designs on your car? If they are in good shape I would be interested in purchasing them from you if you are serious about getting different wheels. You can PM me or email me at

You have one of my favorite OEM wheels on your car. There are so many aftermarket solutions and it is VERY individual. I happen to really like my Kinesis, they are light weight and not overly bling. Cargraphic, BBS are a few of my other favorites. You might also want to look at the SSR GT3 wheels...they really look hot on a Pcar. I have purchased stuff from both Tire Rack and Wheel Enhancement, both great companies to work with.
I've never really like the BBS style rims, but after looking at 996s for the last five years, I think the split 10 spokes look better than anything else, especially on dark colors. Unless you want to go into the 1k a piece wheels, that is. Hard as heck to keep clean though. I wish I had figured that out before buying no less than 3 sets of rims. With three P-cars, I have a garage full of wheels and tires, none of which I really think look that good anymore. Buying new and selling used doesn't work out either! Changing them around gives me something to do on Saturdays anyway and keeps the tires wearing evenly
well, after going on the BAR run today, i had the chance to see 26 or so sets of wheels. Found out that i think the rims that are on it look pretty good! Though we did see some Kenisis rims that we liked, we decided to stick with the sport designs we have. Now, i just need to decide on tires at some point when these wear down. They seemed to do pretty well today on the back roads we travelled.... Thnks!
