Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
old gas could cause the car to run a bit rough for a few miles.
Leading evidence: 'Run bit rough' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run bit rough' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had issues re-starting the car today, what could it be?
THe car started up fine in the morning. Drove around all day, some traffic driving and some spirited driving. As I got home I parked the car outside while I swept the garage floor. Upon completion I tried to start her up but she wouldn't turn over. Finally after cranking it for a good 15-20 seconds she started but had a really funky smell(rotten egg like). Has this happen to anyone b4? You think it's bc of a weak battery? Or bc I didn't let her cool down b4 I shut her off?
thanks in advance.
peter
depends, how long had it been in storage
if it started up in the morning and you drove around, that means the battery was fine and got some charging done also
could be your starter motor?
It can't be battery, since it started fine first time. Unless the alternator is shot and woulldn't charge when running. When you say "wouldn't turn over", do you mean there was no cranking or turning at all? If so, either bad starter or bad starter connections. If you mean it cranked but wouldn't fire at all, then it's something with the engine. Did you blip/rev then shut off? Did you step on the gas, a habit from the older non-e-gas cars, as you cranked the starter? If so, it would make more sense, since the residual gas makes it burn rich and gives rise to the burnt egg smell.
There should be no need to cool down an NA car even with spirited street driving. It's like blasting down a main road, quick stop for a soda with the engine off, then it should restart with no problems. Unless you mean you were overheated before you shut down.
It could be bad or old gas. Since our cars have a very high compression ratio (11.3 to 1), bad or old gas coupled with a "hot" engine start could cause this situation.
This happened to me once or twice but the outside temp was 100+ F (summer time) and my engine was at normal operating temp.
hmmm,
it started fine today. Ill have the dealer check it out in the spring. Maybe I didnt crank it long enough the irst try and flooded it or something on the 2nd and 3rd try. Im just so use to the quick crank/start up of the benz (electric start)
It had probably drowned in fuel and the bad smell was coming from your catalytic converters, when it finally started and the excessive fuel lying in the flooded cats burned off.
