Do the H&R Sway Bar kits come with all the mounting hardware?

Just picked up some PSS9's. Was thinking about doing the sway bars now. I noticed the H&R kits are a little more money than the porsche GT3 bars. Do they come with drop links, etc... and everything else you need to mount them up? I sill can't believe the drop links for the GT3 bars cost more than the bars themselves.

i doubt it. I havn't sold a set yet, but i see no mention of drop links anywhere. i'll find out 2morro. Usually most sways work with OEM Dlinks or have a matching set that need 2 be purchased separatly.

well, the GT3 bars, from what I understand, require new $400 drop links to fit both $350 bars i'd rather just get the H&R's if they'll mount right up to the stock drop links. that's as long as it doesn't give me any trouble doing so....

I have the PSS9s also and just installed a set of H&R Bars. I like them alot. Only the rear bar is adjustable(3 positions). They come with new bushings and you can re-use your stock drop-links. I'm pretty sure the GT3 Bars will not work with the stock drop-links. Jeff

is it even necessary to adjust the front bar? i thought most people just adjusted the rear to dial in/out oversteer. jeff: how do you like the H&R bars? any funny noises or anything? was the fit good?

I think its best not to give some of us too many adjustment options. Its easier for anyone that is not a professional to concentrate on the one end of the car that will have the most noticeable impact on its handling. The bars work really well. No noises or creaking sounds. I'm doing a Driver's Ed with them tomorrow at Moroso. It'll be interesting to see the difference between the H&Rs and the stock(non-M030) bars I had previously. The rear bar takes about 15-20 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. The front bar took me about 45 minutes. The intructions that came with the H&R bars don't explain how to rotate or remove the plate where the lower control arm meets the chassis to remove the front swaybar. Its relatively simple once you figure it out. So far I love the H&Rs. I'll let you know after a day at the track if I still like 'em. Jeff

I have had my PSS9's sitting on my work bench for almost 2 months I need to get them on the car soon. My plans are to get the H&R sways. I think this would be a good opportunity for a board sponsor to step up and offer a group buy. Anyone else have intrest in a group buy.

Got 'em from Vivid Racing. They were the cheapest I found. I think Automotion might be the closest in price but I have had good luck with the guys from Vivid so far. Quick shipping and cheap prices! Jeff

I had a long talk with Mike Schatz of Schatz Motorsport about suspension for the 996. He's worked with the PCA on a very in-depth analysis of primarily the factory suspension options but some aftermarket springs as well. If you've got time, you should read the article HERE and maybe give Mike a call. He's very experienced and very, very helpful which is why I'm recommending him. Suspension is a relatively complex issue and I'm sure he'd have some insights about your PSS9 setup (which he recommends by the way) and the appropriate swaybar choices. As to the GT3 bars, I'm pretty sure you only need the droplinks for the front bar. The rear uses the stockers. Here's his website
