Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

(Got them at Sears.) and then installed the old exhaust pipes on the new muffler.
Leading evidence: 'Install exhaust pipes' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I removed the exhaust pipes from the old mufflers by loosening the clamp and then prying it apart with a set of pliers that are used for removing clips from a shaft.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just installed my new mufflers yesterday. The job was pretty simple all things considered. I used a hydraulic jack and 1 jack stand and did one side at a time. Having Liquid Wrench was/is critical. I think the job requires a 17mm wrench for the tips, a 16mm wrench for the clamps on the exhaust/tips and a 13 mm socket for the exhaust brackets. Reaching the bracket nuts is best accomplished by coming in above the exhaust manifolds/headers from the front (Or from behind the rear tires.) You definitely don't need to remove the rear wheels. Once the bracket is off, you just work the old mufflers down and out. I mounted the brackets to the new mufflers. I removed the exhaust pipes from the old mufflers by loosening the clamp and then prying it apart with a set of pliers that are used for removing clips from a shaft. When you squeeze them they spread open. (Got them at Sears.) and then installed the old exhaust pipes on the new muffler. I left the clamps loose so the tips could be adjusted later, and reinstalled the new mufflers. I then slid the clamps back from the cat pipes and secured them. Adjusting the exhaust pipes/tips was a pain in the *** but patience is your friend. Once the tips are in the proper location and tightened the fun begins....
It sounds awesome
! It looks nice! It makes the Targa sound like a sports car instead of a Honda Accord (No offense to Hondas.) Best $699.00 I ever spent!
installed GHL loud on my cab last night. glad i had a torch to heat the clamps between the cats and mufflers. lube just wasnt doing it. very easy aside from that.
sounds and feels amazing. stock is entirely too pedestrian.
So right you are! My Targa only has 9K miles and has never seen a wet or snowy road. Those clamps opened right up but sliding them over took some work,,,,, GLH's fit the brackets and the car perfectly.
Did you try using the search feature? If you did you would've seen that they just had a special back in December. Talk to Brian to see if he will extend it for you.

New to this board and recently purchased a 99 cab. I'm trying to decide what exhaust to run in the car. Could you post some pics of the tips on the GHL mufflers.
