So reconnected the leads, hooked up steering wheel, connected airbag, hooked up airbag, then reconnected neg lead.

Suggestion
In the very off-chance this works, once you reconnect the battery, you are supposed to turn the ignition ON (w/o starting the engine) for one minute and then turn off and wait for 10 secs before your start the engine.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Quick question...i had disconnected the battery to replace my indicator switch assembly and after reinstalling i dont have some power items such as auto up/down windows or power steering. But stuff like lights and radio and gauges all work.
Is there something i need to reset?
Thanks

Good luck!
Thanks...tried the ignition thing and it didnt do anything.
The window reset worked though.
Could there be a connection under the air bag that could have popped off? Or some loose connection there?
Not quite sure what you are getting at.
The windows should auto drop upon door opening. The windows should go down or up with the use of the window lower or raise switch.
The window limits need to be reset. Consult your owners manual for steps to do this. For my cars... with the window fully up use the lower button to lower the window all they way. Release the button. Then press and hold the raise button and leave it pressed for 5 seconds after the window is all the way up. Release the button. Repeat for the other side.
For e-Gas calibration with the ignition off turn it to on. Do not press the gas pedal or start the engine. Leave the ignition on for 60 seconds. Turn the ignition off and leave off for 10 seconds. Then start the engine.
If you had some custom comfort settings in effect these may have to be restored by the dealer using a Porsche diagnostics computer.
I am at a loss to understand how power steering could be affected by what you did.
Just reset it as per above. Also pulled the airbag and wheel off again as i didnt set it totally straight. So reconnected the leads, hooked up steering wheel, connected airbag, hooked up airbag, then reconnected neg lead. Used the start up procedure as per above and all works fine now. Weird.
Thanks!
