Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In the 996 series, when was the first wide body produced?

POST 3Original post

Not sure exactly what you mean, but the 2002 Carrera refresh widened the rear fenders by a few millimeters. The same year saw the introduction of the C4S to replace the C4. The C4S of course used the 996 Twin Turbo's wide body. But the first wide body 996 was the Twin Turbo, which I think launched in 2000.

POST 4Original post

I believe it's the MY 2001 turbo, which was launched in 2000.

I'm mostly thinking about wheel fitment and offsets and it triggered the question. Thanks
