2001 C4 tip After driving for a while I start to get squeaking noises when I turn the wheel. Longer I drive louder it gets. Already topped off the fluid. Thoughts?

Squeeking like suspension up front or in the rear like the belt has gotten old and needs replacing? Could also be one of the belt runners. Last time I was chasing down if a squaking noise was a/c or alternator on a jeep it ended up being the belt. A couple of things. Is there foamed fluid when you check after it's been making noise? When cold the fluid level should only be on the tip of the dip stick. Then you say it is progressively getting louder the longer you drive it? I'm thinking the belt or bearing. If the belt it's the energy the pump requires dragging on a slippery belt making the squaking noise and the more slipping the slicker it makes the belt available for more noise to make. Try changing the belt since its the cheapest and you'll probably want to anyway. If any CHF fluid got on the belt it might be part of the problem. I wouldn't use belt dressing. Long story short change the belt. Maybe the warmth of the engine makes the belt stretch further making it even looser explaining the noise getting worse after driving a while.
