Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello guys
Well after all is was not my IMS that was the issue but my lifters and at the same time i had a RMS and my spark plug tubes were leaking as well.
1) Can this be a sign of a problem somewhere else?
2) i am changing the clutch and spark plugs , other seals, anything else i should do?
3) Is their only one type of clutch to get?
thanks for all your help.
are you doing the work?
I would suggest
IMS retrofit
Cam chain tensioner (inspect and replace as needed)
cam to IMS tension arm button (inspect)
RMS
case bolts
Check AOS for signs of leaking - replace if car has higher miles and it hasnt been done
clutch kit
inspect DM flywheel - replace if bad
check clutch arm is latest version
What was the problem with the lifters? Was it one lifter? Or more than one.
Just one is likely just a bad lifter. More than one could suggest an oil supply problem. Depends upon what was wrong with the lifter(s) and how many developed the problem that required their replacement.
Generally replace any seal that's leaking and leave any seal alone that is not leaking.
Check the AOS. Heck for $100 parts it might be worthwhile just to replace it on general principles.
If you are changing the clutch I assume you are replacing the disc and pressure plate and release bearing? Inspect all wear points of the clutch hardware -- the arm and its pivot points for wear, flat spots.
If you find any replace the arm and the pivots with new.
Refer to the directions for clutch replacment in the shop manual to see if any lubrication of these areas forbidden though, or other areas of lubrication recommended/advised.
Generally though when I did clutch jobs in the past -- never a Porsche though -- I used a very heavy high temperature high pressure grease and not much of it, putting a small dab on each pivot point. You want to use so little that no excess gets squeezed out when the arm and the pivot are assembled. Or when they are assemble wipe any excess off then reassemble. This can go a long way to making the clutch's action smoother and helping to extend the life of the clutch.
I also added a very thin smear of heavy grease to the splines of the input shape at the point they engage with the clutch splines. This cuts the friction of the clutch moving along these splines which makes the clutch's engage smoother and cuts wear of the splines.
Sincerely,
Macster.
the lifter noise went away after 20 mins.
i will have porsche verify all you mentioned. i will drive it often i can assure you, it all makes sense, i learned trust me .
i thank you for all your reponses and your time.
