Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently had X74 suspension installed (see pics from my earlier post). Had the car at Motorsport Ranch this weekend for DE. I am not an expert driver, but I think the car handles great. Of course, these cars handle great "out of the box" with stock suspension, but clearly it is lower and has less body lean. Feedback was excellent. The car felt planted and controllable at the limits (uh, to the extent that I'm capable of these things!). Drifting/breaking loose the rear end seemed predictable and fairly controllable (again - let's remember who the driver is!). Anyway, had a great time and I'm sure the suspension is an improvement. Now to improve the driver... Oh yeah, I had to put the second pic in there to show the bluebonnets - state flower of Texas.

POST 2Original post

Looks hot! I knew it would work great on the track. Any further street impressions now that you have a few more miles under your belt?

POST 3Original post

OneMan, Are you planning to attend the DE at TWS on the 15th/16th or the DE at MSR on 4-30/5-1? If so, I'll see you there.

POST 5Original post

Looks great! Can you post some pics of your car w/the X74 "at rest"?

POST 6Original post

Did you make it out of Green yet? I see the green square on your windshield. My buddies were there this weekend. One has a red Lotus Elise and was there running it in the red run group.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, I'll be in blue next time. I believe I saw the red Elise in Red group - there were actually about 4 Elises there. Two Gallardos, too. Someone with a Yellow Carrera GT did a parade lap on Sunday. LiveNupe, I think the next time I can get away will be June 11 - I think its Lone Star PCA at TWS that weekend. I don't know how to insert a link to a previous thread, but about a week ago I posted with a bunch of before and after pics. Search under "X74" and you'll find it. Here are some afters again the lighting is not great for seeing the distance from wheel to fender:

POST 8Original post

OneManTX, what are your impressions of the X74 suspension on everyday roads (city streets, expansion joints on highways, less than smooth surfaces, etc.)?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have found it more comfortable than the US m030 I had on previously. I do have to be more careful of certain driveways, but I don't think the ride is harsh. Its a firm ride, of course. I did notice the stiffer suspension has brought out some frame squeaks. When I go one wheel at a time into or out of driveway, slowly so as to not scrape, There is a squeak from around the rear window on the right and one that sounds like its coming from the front. Even if I never take the car to the track again (unlikely - got the fever!), I'll be happy I got the X74. Looks better and rides better than USm030, IMO.
