Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are there any 4/4S owners out there that use their cars 365 days a year in climates where there is a fair amount of snow fall? With the exception of major league storms does the 40wheel get you by? I am still debating between a Cayenne and a 911. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I actually use my C2 all year round as a daily driver in the NY/NJ/PA area. Not much of a problem with proper snow tires. The only thing slowing me down occassionally is unplowed roads, but that didn't prove to be a problem this winter or the past winter. I'm a strong believer in the theory of 2x0 = 0 and 4x0=0. Your ability to drive well in the winter relies on tire choice and driver ability, for most situations.

POST 3Original post

I put 100 miles a day on my C4S Cabriolet... just get yourself some winter tires... that's it! Enjoy!

POST 4Original post

Rubber is everything - I also drive my Targa 365 500 miles weekly - Snow, Rain, Whatever.

POST 5Original post

Yes, tale a look at my avitar, says it all, northern Vermont in Feb. I agree, the rubber is what is important though the 4 part also help as does PSM.

POST 6Original post

Foolish. What about the "other" drivers out there on the road??

POST 7Original post

You always have to watch out for other drivers, even if it's 80 and sunny out. I put 52,000 miles on my 2001 C4 before I gave it up in 2004 for my C4S which has 20,000 miles on it now... all year round, from Orange County NY to NYC. Never a problem, just use your head and don't drive like you're in a coma and you'll be fine.

Thanks all for your input...food for thought! meow

POST 9Original post

I use my tt in all kinds of weather. Wheels and tires make a huge difference. We get all kind of snow just off Lake Michigan, and my car hasn't been stopped AS

POST 10Original post

I drive mine yr round , snow, rain, shine. Highly rec snow tires in winter though.
