I have seen where people take the pump off, tilt vertical, fill above the hole and cycle it a few times and re check, add as needed.

The fill plug for the reservoir is located halfway up on the end of the reservoir, so you can't fill the reservoir more than halfway unless you remove the reservoir to tilt it vertical.

What is the correct fill level for the pump reservoir for a cabriolet top that has the horizontally oriented reservoir, please? Nothing is listed in my owner's manual. There is a plus sign located halfway up the side of the reservoir. The fill plug for the reservoir is located halfway up on the end of the reservoir, so you can't fill the reservoir more than halfway unless you remove the reservoir to tilt it vertical. I have searched a number of threads and haven't found a definitive answer. Various YouTube videos give conflicting information - some say only halfway up in the horizontal position, others say to remove, tilt up and fill it. Knock on wood for luck, I am not having a problem and am just doing preventative maintenance, but part of that is checking to make sure the fluid level is correct. My fluid is just below the horizontal bar of the plus sign on the side of the reservoir when the reservoir is in its normal horizontal position. Thanks in advance.
